Concept:
The planed workpieces are placed on the cross conveyor, which functions as a feed magazine.
Two workpieces are then fed in at intervals and processed.
A milling spindle mounted on a carriage mills the radius one after the other.
A saw unit separates the parts after milling.
A gripper holds the part and then guides it

through the grinding units.
1 automatic edge milling machine:
-2 x feed magazines as cross conveyors with 4 infeed belts
Wood length min. 600 mm, max. 1200 mm
- Base frame in sturdy welded construction made of profiled steel tubing
- Milling unit with
- 1 milling spindle 9,000 rpm, motor 2 kW, variable frequency drive
-X-Z slide with linear guide, ball screw, NC servo motor
- (Both spindles move synchronously along the contour)
- | Saw unit with | saw blade d = 300, 3,500 rpm, 2 kW
- 1 gripper for workpieces that grips the parts at the saw and
then feeds them through the grinding units.
- 4 grinding units with grinding motor 1 kW, approx. 800 rpm,
manually adjustable
- Electro-pneumatic control via PLC B+R with 10" touch
control panel, pneumatics from Festo
- Machine complete with 2 extraction connections dm 120 mm,
without milling cutter, without grinding wheel, with 1 saw blade and 1 milling cutter
- Feed axis right/left, separately constructed with 2 NC axes
for parts feed
- Brushing station:
2 brushes each on NC slide, program-controlled movement
to parts - dimensions
- Error detection:
Errors must be marked on the workpiece with chalk
and inserted in the correct position. A sensor detects the chalk
and ejects the part into a waste chute. The process continues,
only the defective parts are not passed through the brushes.
- Central lubrication automatically controlled via control panel
- Position measuring system in clamping:
in case of differences, the control system
compensates for the dimensional difference.
- Removal of waste pieces via conveyor belt
